Christopher Lambert’s return in MK3 confirmed and SHOOTING FOR THE FILM STARTS THIS SUMMER!
Get ready! Christopher Lambert’s Official Site has reported that he is, indeed, coming back as Raiden in Mortal Kombat 3.
Though the site gives no dates or any information regarding his part, it still is solid news and should keep any Mortal Kombat movie fan pleased. Thanks to Johan Aders of Lambert’s Yahoo! Fan Group for the heads up.
Web Warrior Bob also sent us ANOTHER update regarding Ashby’s return. Linden was interviewed yet again regarding his status on various Soaps, and one of the question was about MK3:
Q: And is it official that you’re set to star in Mortal Kombat 3?
A: I have been talking to the producers for the past month or so pretty intensely, and they say we are set to go. I’ll be reprising my role as Johnny Cage. It’s supposed to start shooting this summer.

Yes, Christophe lambert is back as Rayden; Excellent. James Remar in MK: Annihilation was very good too. Linden Ashby back as Johnny Cage? Superb! Linden humanized the first MK flick and I was sad to see “him” croak it in the 2nd one. The MK Movies are actually excellent examples of how to do good game-to-movie adaptations. Only X-Men 3 beats MK:A as the ultimate faithful jam packed with a cast of thousands “comic book” type movie. Streetfighter the Movie had Raoul Julia whose dialogue is priceless (watch it again) who lifted it up into the higher reaches compared to the likes of Resident Evil, the Bob Hoskins SuperMario bros movie and so on. Great News! Let`s have more!!
